WD 40 Repair Challenge: SUV Turbo and Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) Valve Cleaning

My Sports Utility Vehicle has been losing power occasionally especially when doing a cold start and when it is moving about and doing an uphill drive. This could be due to carbon deposits that have accumulated in time in the turbo and exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) valve. The mechanic sprayed WD-40 Specialist Throttle Body, Carb & Choke Cleaner on the turbo and EGR to flush out the carbon deposits. It effectively cleaned these engine components. Upon restarting the engine, the power has been regained apparently. And the check engine indicator disappeared from the front panel.
